Parliament’s Winter Session turned fiery on Wednesday when BJP MP Kangana Ranaut took on the opposition, dismissing EVM hacking allegations and branding their approach as “vote theft” politics.
The Mandi MP, Kangana Ranaut, rose amid a stormy debate to back Prime Minister Modi and accuse the opposition of spreading deliberate misinformation.

Kangana Ranaut hails Modi’s emotional appeal: ‘He hacks hearts, not voting machines’

Kangana Ranaut hit back at the opposition’s claims of EVM tampering, saying Prime Minister Modi’s victories are built on genuine public trust, not machines. “PM Modi doesn’t hack EVMs; he hacks hearts,” she remarked, underlining that the BJP’s mandate comes from the faith of millions of voters. She argued that the constant drumbeat of EVM allegations is less about technology and more about trying to discredit the people’s choice.

Kangana Ranaut aims Priyanka Gandhi, raising questions of ‘integrity’

Kangana Ranaut sharpened her attack by turning her focus on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her family’s political record. Responding to Priyanka’s remark urging people to “leave old matters behind,” the MP fired back with a pointed counter, challenging the integrity of that stance.
Kangana said, “I want to remind Priyanka Gandhi, who says, ‘Let’s not talk about old matters or past leaders.’ But I must ask about your mother: she wasn’t an Indian citizen until 1983, yet she had been voting even before that.”

She went on to say, “From the past to the present, there is no integrity in your character. Your family has consistently disregarded this nation’s law, order, and constitution.”
Her sharp remarks further intensified the BJP–Congress clash, adding fuel to an already heated session dominated by the EVM debate.

Kangana Ranaut slams opposition for derailing Parliament’s work

Kangana Ranaut launched another attack, this time targeting the conduct of opposition MPs in the House. She accused them of blocking proceedings with “all kinds of tricks,” saying their deliberate disruptions had brought parliamentary work to a standstill. She added that while the government was prepared for debate, it was the loudest voices in the opposition that kept meaningful discussion from happening.

Kangana Ranaut also aimed at Rahul Gandhi, criticising him for allegedly using a Brazilian model’s photo while making voter fraud claims. She condemned the act as “misleading and irresponsible” and added that she wished to “apologise on behalf of Parliament” to the model whose image had been misused.

The Winter Session has been anything but calm, with opposition parties repeatedly voicing concerns over EVM hacking and alleged “vote chori.” The BJP has brushed off these charges as unfounded, insisting they are simply efforts to question and weaken the credibility of India’s elections.
