Uorfi Javed out of Islam, now Geeta Bhardwaj,” says influencer

In Mumbai, social media influencer Faizan Ansari has sparked fresh controversy by alleging that actress and fashion personality Uorfi Javed has been “expelled” from Islam and will now go by the name Geeta Bhardwaj.

The influencer shared a video on social media, in which Faizan Ansari claimed that ‘Muslims’ had decided to disassociate Uorfi Javed from the community, accusing her of repeatedly insulting it.

In his video message, Faizan Ansari introduced himself before alleging that Uorfi Javed has brought disrepute to Muslims in India and abroad. He claimed that Javed openly rejects the Quran, Islam, and the Muslim faith, and accused her of tarnishing the community’s image.

Ansari went on to claim that Muslims had collectively decided Uorfi Javed is no longer part of the faith. He said he had submitted a letter to the Maulana, head of the All India Muslim community, informing him of this decision and asserting that Javed has no ties to the community anymore, adding that her new name is Geeta Bhardwaj.

Announcing his stance publicly, Faizan Ansari declared that Uorfi Javed is no longer a Muslim and should now be referred to as Geeta Bhardwaj. He claimed that the decision was taken collectively by Muslims and said he had submitted a written letter to the Maulana, head of the All India Muslim community. Ansari added that he would share the letter on social media to spread the message worldwide, urging people not to call her Uorfi Javed anymore and insisting she has no place in the Muslim community or society.
