Actor-couple Ashlesha Sawant and Sandeep Baswana tied the knot on November 16 at the Chandrodaya temple in Vrindavan. The wedding, marking the culmination of their 23-year relationship, was a private ceremony attended only by close family members.

According to the Times of India, Sandeep revealed that a visit to Vrindavan in April left both him and Ashlesha deeply connected to the Radha Krishna temples. The experience inspired them to finally marry after 23 years together. He added that their parents were overjoyed, having long awaited this moment. The couple chose to keep the ceremony simple, opting for a wedding at a Lord Krishna temple.

Ashlesha Sawant expressed her joy, saying she feels immense happiness and gratitude to finally be married to the love of her life. She described Vrindavan as the perfect setting, noting that the couple felt a deep connection during their visit earlier this year. Their decision to wed was organic and sudden, and they chose to keep the ceremony private with only family present.

Sandeep Baswana, meanwhile, joked that they had grown tired of answering questions about why they hadn’t married despite being together for so long. He added that, in his mind, they were always married. Reflecting on the occasion, he said it doesn’t feel very different, but acknowledged that it was something they were destined to do eventually. The couple shared that they are happy and overwhelmed by the love and blessings they’ve received, with Ashlesha adding that they feel blessed by the support of friends and well-wishers.
