In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Aamir addressed his ongoing feud with Faissal Khan.
Responding to Faissal’s accusations of confinement and career sabotage, Aamir Khan sighed, “What can I do? This is my fate. You can fight the world, but not your own family.”
Speaking about Mela, the film he worked on with Faissal and Twinkle Khanna, Aamir Khan said, “I was disappointed when it failed to live up to expectations. Every film is close to my heart, and Mela’s failure left a difference in my life. It was difficult for Faissal, but it was difficult for me too.
Aamir Khan shared that it’s disheartening when a project doesn’t achieve the success it deserves, because every member of the team invests their heart into it—and the failure weighs on them all.
The rift within the Khan household became impossible to ignore after Faissal announced he was stepping away from his family for good.
According to Faissal, Aamir’s relationship with UK-based journalist Jessica Hines began while he was still married to Reena Dutta, and he claims a child was born from it.
Responding to Faissal’s claims, Aamir Khan’s family released a public note of distress, calling the remarks “hurtful and misleading” toward Aamir, his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, and his sister Nikhat Hegde.
Aamir and Faissal had previously starred together in the 2000 film Mela alongside Twinkle Khanna.
